1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MonkeyTactics website, including its calculators, converters, QR code tools, and other online utilities (collectively, the “Services”).

MonkeyTactics provides free online utility tools, including date difference, unit conversion, tip, time zone, finance, health and body, math, QR code, and other tools. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Services only if you can legally agree to these Terms under applicable law. If you use MonkeyTactics for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. Children should use the Services only with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

3. Use of the Tools

Services provided “as is”

The Services and all calculations, conversions, generated QR codes, decoded data, estimates, and other outputs are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. MonkeyTactics does not guarantee that any output will be accurate, complete, current, compatible, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Outputs may contain errors because of user input, rounding, browser or device behavior, software limitations, changing time-zone rules, third-party data, or other factors. A generated QR code may not scan correctly on every device, and a decoder may not correctly identify or reproduce all embedded information.

Your responsibility to verify

You are responsible for independently reviewing and verifying every output before relying on it. Test generated QR codes before printing, publishing, or distributing them. Do not rely exclusively on MonkeyTactics for medical, health, financial, tax, legal, engineering, safety-critical, or other professional decisions; consult a qualified professional when appropriate.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use MonkeyTactics lawfully and responsibly. You may not:

• Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, abusive, or deceptive activity;
• Generate or distribute QR codes that lead to malware, phishing pages, illegal material, deceptive content, or other harmful destinations;
• Submit malicious code, files, links, or data to any tool;
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically extract site content or data without prior written authorization;
• Use bots, scripts, automated requests, or similar methods in a way that creates excessive traffic or an unreasonable burden on the Services;
• Overload, disrupt, damage, impair, or interfere with the website or another person’s use of it;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, probe, scan, bypass, or test the security of the website, servers, systems, or networks; or
• Misrepresent an affiliation with MonkeyTactics or use its branding to create a misleading copy of the Services.

MonkeyTactics may restrict or block access when it reasonably believes that these Terms have been violated or the Services are being abused.

5. Intellectual Property

The MonkeyTactics name, branding, website design, text, graphics, tool interfaces, software, and other site content are owned by MonkeyTactics or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, MonkeyTactics grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Services for lawful personal or internal business purposes. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, license, redistribute, or create a competing or derivative platform from substantial portions of the website or its interfaces without prior written permission.

You retain any rights you have in information you submit to a tool and are responsible for having permission to process that information.

6. Privacy and Data Handling

Your use of MonkeyTactics is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, and handled.

Tools may temporarily process information you enter, upload, encode, or decode to produce the requested output. MonkeyTactics does not store personal data submitted to a tool unless storage is expressly disclosed in the relevant tool or Privacy Policy.

Do not submit highly sensitive, confidential, regulated, or security-critical information unless the relevant tool clearly states that it is designed and authorized to process that information.

7. Third-Party Services

Some Services may rely on third-party libraries, APIs, data sources, hosting providers, or other technologies. Those services may change, become unavailable, or produce incomplete or inaccurate information. MonkeyTactics does not control and is not responsible for failures, interruptions, security issues, or inaccuracies caused by third-party services.

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Those websites have their own terms and privacy practices, and a link does not constitute an endorsement by MonkeyTactics.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MonkeyTactics disclaims all express and implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. MonkeyTactics does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In those jurisdictions, these exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MonkeyTactics and its owners, operators, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunity, goodwill, or use, arising from or related to:

• Inaccurate calculations, estimates, conversions, or other outputs;
• Incorrect, unreadable, incompatible, or incomplete QR code generation or decoding;
• Your reliance on any tool output;
• Errors, omissions, interruptions, temporary downtime, or loss of availability; or
• Third-party services, websites, libraries, APIs, or data.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, MonkeyTactics’ total liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use the affected Service during the preceding twelve months or US $100. These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless MonkeyTactics and its owners, operators, affiliates, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

11. Availability and Modifications

MonkeyTactics may add, modify, suspend, limit, update, or remove any tool, feature, output format, or part of the Services at any time. The website may experience scheduled maintenance, unexpected downtime, technical failures, or other interruptions. MonkeyTactics has no obligation to maintain a particular tool, feature, or level of availability.

12. Changes to These Terms

MonkeyTactics may revise these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Services after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those Terms. If you do not agree with an update, you must stop using the Services.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota and applicable federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action relating to these Terms or the Services must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Minnesota, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.

14. General Terms

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in effect. A failure by MonkeyTactics to enforce a provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and MonkeyTactics concerning your use of the Services and replace prior agreements or communications concerning that use.
